“Rodney prepares for Easter Bunny 150”

On Saturday January, 28 2008, Rodney tested his Rolling Thunder Modified race car at Hickory Motor Speedway. The testing session was in preparation for his first career start in the Pro All Star Series, South. “I learned a lot as the day went on, I found a really good line, and feel really confident for the Easter Bunny 150” Rodney said.

Rodney earned this great opportunity after a top five finish in the Mason Dixon Meltdown at the Concord Motor Speedway back in November. The twenty year old Maine native led the first forty five of fifty laps along with winning his heat race. It was then shortly after that race when Jim and Denise Gallison, owners of Auto Master (a mechanic shop based in Mooresville, NC) were at that race and noticed Rodney’s talent, shortly after they got in touch with Rodney, then met with him soon after that.

After meeting with Rodney, Jim and Denise were pleased with how the young driver presented himself, and then offered him to drive their car for the full 2008 PASS South schedule. Rodney, who drove a part time schedule in the Rolling Thunder Modified Series in 2007, might be able to have the opportunity to race a few Rolling Thunder Modified races in 2008.

Entering the 2008 Pass South Series, Rodney will have four sponsors on board with him. The sponsors will be Auto Master, Just-Suspension, Pro-Concrete and Advanced Auto Parts. “I am real pleased to have these sponsors on board, it’s always good to have sponsors lined up, before you even start the season” said Rodney.

The 2008 PASS South Series is a great opportunity for a young an upcoming driver like Rodney. “The skies, the limit I feel like we will have a great handling car for Hickory, and with the support of Jim and Denise and the crew, we will be competitive week in, and week out” Rodney races at the Hickory Motor Speedway on March, 22 if you get a chance, come out to see him start in his first PASS South Series race.
